Tell us your story of how your business evolved into what it is today?

When we first started it was Tony and I, little by little with a lot of help from our community we expanded. 4 years ago Tony and I took more conscience in what we do and what we aren’t doing to help our environment thanks to Nutri Muscle Meals.

What are you most proud of about your team?

We are proud that our team goes the extra mile for each and one of our clients just like we do! We truly are who we are because of our staff, they are the ones who are the backbone of our small business.

In what ways do you give back to the community?

We volunteer as much as we can as well as donate meals. Last year we donated meals to the INOVA ICU, we knew we had to step up and do our part to help and show gratitude to our first responders.

Lately what we have most been proud of is helping new small business open up. We know how scary and hard it can be opening up a small business so we been helping them take that next step.

What would it mean to you and your business to win a Small Business Award?

Winning this award would be a perfect invitation for people to connect with us and learn more about what we do.

What is the smallest thing that has made the largest impact on your business?

Being environmentally conscious; when we first started Nutri Muscle Meals we knew right away that polluting our earth with plastic containers was going to be a big no for us, which is why we changed to biodegradable containers as well as compost all of our food scraps.

Who is the one person that has influenced you the most in your career?

Luki & Tony: Our parents; we come from immigrant parents who left their comfortable lives to give us a better life in this country. We are both Peruvian! Watching our parents work endless hours and multiple jobs to provide for us is something Tony and I look up to.

What is your favorite thing about running a business in Loudoun County?

The local support! Loudoun County has always been a home to us, we grew up here. We been blessed with wonderful people in our lives that support us and give us the extra push to keep going. We wouldn’t we be where we are if it wasn’t for our community. We are thankful.

What did you want to be when you grew up as a child?

Luki: I wanted to be a paramedic! I always knew I wanted to help others one way or another.

Tony: A police officer; I always admired those who keep the peace and well-being of the community.

What is one book that changed your life and why?

Luki: I’m a bookworm! The body papers by Grace Talusan is a book that changed me because of how much it mirror my own life. This book not only helped me overcome my own problems but it also taught me to be more compassionate not only with myself but with everyone else around me.

If you’re not in the office where can we find you/what is another passion you have?

Luki: In my spare time you will find me working in Nutri Juicing, a cold press juicing & cleansing delivery service. You will also find me spending time with my dog and my family either hiking or enjoying a nice long walk.

Tony: I enjoy exercising in my spare time! Either from going to the gym, joining Luki in hikes or enjoying a nice work out from home.

How do you see your business evolving in the next 5 years?

We see ourselves expanding as well as inspiring other local businesses in taking a step into making eco friendly decisions. We should all contribute to a greener and cleaner environment to create a better world for those who will come after us.
