Hispanic Heritage Month Spotlight 2026: Casa De Avila Tacos

September 15th marks the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the contributions and traditions of Hispanic and Latino communities across the country. This Hispanic Heritage Month, the Loudoun Chamber is proud to spotlight Casa De Avila Tacos, a family-owned taqueria bringing the flavors and traditions of Guadalajara, Mexico, to the heart of Loudoun County.

Casa De Avila Tacos began during the pandemic, serving street tacos and authentic Mexican dishes through pickup and delivery. What started during an uncertain time quickly grew as more people discovered the family’s food and the business found new opportunities to reach customers. In 2025, Casa De Avila reached a major milestone by opening its brick-and-mortar restaurant in Downtown Leesburg, giving the family a permanent home to share the food and traditions that started their journey.

Many of the recipes and traditions behind the business have been passed down through generations of the Avila family. Today, that history comes to life through a menu of Mexican favorites including carne asada, al pastor, carnitas, tortas, elote and more. But if there is one dish Casa De Avila has become especially known for, it’s the birria. Their signature Birria Quesatacos have become a customer favorite and helped Casa De Avila earn recognition throughout Northern Virginia.

“Casa De Avila Tacos is a family-owned business from Guadalajara, Mexico. It is only natural that we see and treat everyone like family. Everything is cooked with love, passion, and pride.”

Abraham and Stephanie Avila and their team

For owners Abraham and Stephanie Avila, building Casa De Avila has always been about more than serving great food. They are deeply community-focused and make giving back a priority whenever possible. Over the years, Casa De Avila has supported local schools, PTAs, youth programs, nonprofits and community organizations.

This Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re proud to celebrate Casa De Avila Tacos and the Avila family for sharing a piece of their heritage with Loudoun, supporting the community along the way and showing how food can bring people together.
