Press Release: Loudoun Chamber joins regionwide effort to help displaced Federal and contracting employees find new careers

TalentCapital.ai Launched by the Greater Washington Council of Governments

Loudoun County, VA — The Loudoun Chamber of Commerce is proud to partner with the Washington region’s top business and government groups to launch TalentCapital.ai, a powerful AI-driven tool designed to help transitioning workers pivot, reskill, and find new career opportunities.

Led by the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments and powered by Tysons-based BuildWithin’s AI-driven technology, Talent Capital serves as a bridge for those in the Greater Washington area navigating career changes, connecting them to training, coaching, employers, and jobs aligned with the future of work.

“The Loudoun Chamber of Commerce is proud to join this vital initiative to support our neighbors in the Greater Washington region who find themselves in a career transition. Not only will this initiative help recently displaced workers identify and train for new and exciting careers, but it is also a great example of what can be achieved when we work together to support everyone who calls this region home,” said Loudoun Chamber President Tony Howard.

TalentCapital.ai is an impressive example of a cross-jurisdictional, cross-sector effort comprised of a large and diverse set of partners across Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland.

In Northern Virginia alone, over 48,000 jobs are available across 17,000 employers who are actively hiring. Thanks to the efforts of Northern Virginia Community College, George Mason University, and many others, displaced federal workers and career changers are developing new skills in various fields, including AI, quantum computing, biotech, and data sciences.

According to the Washington Business Journal, the website was launched in a year when the Trump administration announced plans to cut 300,000 federal jobs by the end of 2025. The Greater Washington region is most heavily affected by the Trump administration’s plans to decrease the federal workforce.
