LeadShare Spotlight 2025: Potomac Leadership Group

Thank you to Jeannie Moran of RSVP NOVA for answering these questions! Jeannie is part of the Potomac Leadership Group LeadShare. Learn more about the Chamber’s LeadShare program here.

Tell us the most unique or interesting thing you’d want us to know about your LeadShare group.

What makes our LeadShare group unique is that we somehow manage to get real business done while laughing like we’ve known each other since high school. We’re basically a mix of strategic thinkers, natural networkers, and people who genuinely enjoy being around each other.

We operate with the “Mom Test,” meaning we only refer people we’d trust with our own mothers… which, honestly, is probably why we take referrals so seriously and snacks less seriously.

How did you first get involved with LeadShare?

I first got involved after launching RSVP Northern Virginia, when an influential Chamber member encouraged me to visit. I walked into my first meeting thinking it would be a typical networking environment, and within minutes, I knew it was different. People listened. They asked thoughtful questions. They wanted to understand my business so they could truly help. I felt welcomed immediately, and I knew I had found a place where collaboration—not transactions—was the priority.

What is the most fulfilling part about being a leader of your LeadShare group?

As a Leader, when your members feel this way about the group, feeling fulfilled is automatic.

What has been the most unexpected benefit you have received from participating in LeadShare?

Honestly, the relationships. I expected to expand my professional network; I did not expect to build a group of people I’d trust with my business, my referrals, and sometimes even my personal life.

As someone building a brand rooted in community and trust, that type of genuine relationship is invaluable. LeadShare has given me clarity, accountability, and a support system — all from people who truly want each other to succeed.

What would you tell someone who was thinking about joining LeadShare?

Come visit once — worst case, you get great conversation and a warm lunch you didn’t have to make yourself. Best case, you find a group of people who become your unofficial marketing team, cheerleaders, and occasional therapists. If you like growing your business and laughing while doing it, this is your group. If you prefer awkward small talk and forced networking… we are definitely not that.
