The Loudoun County Chamber is proud to present George Mason University President Ángel Cabrera as its next speaker in the 2017 Leadership Series.
Mason, Virginia’s largest public research university, in 2016 became one of 115 U.S. universities selected for the highest research category of the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education. Before becoming Mason’s president in 2012, Dr. Cabrera led IE Business School in Madrid, and Thunderbird School of Global Management, now affiliated with Arizona State University.
Dr. Cabrera will share his perspective on Mason’s rapid emergence and how world-class research universities act as a magnet for international talent, attract businesses by providing a career-ready work force, and drive regional economies through innovation and entrepreneurship.

The Loudoun Chamber will celebrate its 58th Annual Meeting & Community Leadership Awards on January 30, 2026. We will honor top community leaders and celebrated the success of the 2025 Board of Directors Chair, Scott Loftis, of Atlantic Union Bank. We will also welcome our 2026 Board and the new Chair, Chauvon McFadden of Crimson Wealth Strategies.
