What inspired you to become a Loudoun Chamber Ambassador Council Member, and what does the role mean to you?
I’ve been an Ambassador since joining the Loudoun Chamber 13 years ago. I LOVE supporting local, family owned businesses to help them grow and feel like part of the community.
How does your business or organization contribute to the Loudoun County community?

As a Senior Loan Officer I have the joy of helping/supporting potential Home Owners with the pride/joy of home ownership many of whom thought it wasn’t achievable with their current financial situation utilizing the many loan programs offered by me/Embrace Home Loans – W2, Self-Employed, Investor, Veteran, Moderate Incomes/Grant Programs, Asset Depletion, Retired…
What is one memorable connection, moment, or experience you’ve had through the Loudoun Chamber?
Being Ambassador of the Year for two years was truly such an honor.
What advice would you give to someone looking to intentionally grow their professional network in Loudoun County?
Join the Loudoun Chamber and get involved in your community, give back and support some of the many deserving non-profits. As a Board member of Loudoun Habitat for Humanity, I’m so excited about this opportunity to support this phenomenal organization doing so much for many deserving residents.
What Loudoun Chamber event or program do you never miss, and why does it stand out to you?
Loudoun on Tap is always an amazing Chamber event I never miss. Some attendees only come to this event and it’s wonderful to see such a variety of members – sole entrepreneurs to members of large companies. The venues are always top notch such as The Salamander, Morven Park, and Bear Chase Brewing Co.
How has serving as an Ambassador Council Member helped you grow as a leader—both professionally and personally?
As an Ambassador your sole purpose is to help new members, be their avocate, introduce them to potential business partners, be creative in helping the grow their business. Being a leader by example of integrity, accountability, empathy and effective communication has helped me as an Ambassador grow as an individual.
What is one tip or best practice you would share with new Loudoun Chamber members to help them get the most value from their membership?
After a networking event, follow up with a few people for whom you made a fantastic connection, learn more about their business, how you can support them. People truly appreciate when you’re genuine and care about helping others.
What leadership skill has been most valuable to you in your role as a Chamber Ambassador, and how do you apply it?
Focusing on others’ best interest, how you can help them first as a role model.
How do you balance advocating for your own business while serving the broader mission of the Chamber and the Loudoun community?
I find by placing others best interest first, asking them about their business and how you can help, people appreciate this genuine nature and often reciprocate.
What is one fun, unexpected, or little-known fact about you that most people at the Chamber may not know?
I won the John Philip Sousa Band Award my senior year at Loudoun Valley HS – I played the alto saxophone.
