Thank you to Kim Curran, CEO of In Two Places  for serving as a Chamber Ambassador

What inspired you to become a Loudoun Chamber Ambassador Council Member, and what does the role mean to you?

I love being a Chamber Ambassador and getting to guide our new community members, so they get the most out of their membership.

Founder Kim Curran

How does your business or organization contribute to the Loudoun County community?

I help raise organizations profiles by representing their brand when they cannot be in the room.

What is one memorable connection, moment, or experience you have had through the Loudoun Chamber?

Meeting a new colleague who has become one of my best friends, a friend who you can bounce ideas off, share stories and laughter, and feel a deep connection with.

What advice would you give to someone looking to intentionally grow their professional network in Loudoun County?

Get involved in the cohorts that make the most sense. Make connections before trying to sell your services.

What Loudoun Chamber event or program do you never miss, and why does it stand out to you?

I love the Chamber Business @ Breakfast. The energy in the room is phenomenal.

How has serving as an Ambassador Council Member helped you grow as a leader—both professionally and personally?

I love being able to greet guests at the events, help them connect with those they want to meet and to raise my awareness of the services offered within our community.

What is one tip or best practice you would share with new Loudoun Chamber members to help them get the most value from their membership?

Get involved. Joining does not bring awareness to your business. You need to be involved.

What leadership skill has been most valuable to you in your role as a Chamber Ambassador, and how do you apply it?

Listening and making the connections that matter most to our members.

How do you balance advocating for your own business while serving the broader mission of the Chamber and the Loudoun community?

There are times it can be difficult but if you put the needs of others before getting your company out there, the business will come to you.

What is one fun, unexpected, or little-known fact about you that most people at the Chamber may not know?

I drank out of the Stanley Cup when the NY Rangers won in 1994.
