Ambassador Council Spotlight: Kelly Robucci

Thank you to Kelly Robucci from the Academies of Loudoun for your service on the Ambassador Council!

What is your favorite part of being an Ambassador?

The opportunity to connect with other people, businesses, and non-profits in the local community to promote growth and development.

What makes your business unique in your industry?

As the first specialized STEM facility of its kind, located in Loudoun County, VA, the foundation of the Academies of Loudoun’s instructional practice is designing authentic, challenging learning experiences to empower students to explore, research, collaborate, innovate, and make meaningful contributions to the world in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

How has Chamber membership benefitted your business?

Attending the many networking events like Business @ Breakfast, Loudoun on Tap, other signature events, and visiting the LeadShare groups, our school has been able to make connections with local businesses/organizations who want to engage with high school students. Through these connections, our school provides students with experiential learning opportunities to learn from subject matter experts, job shadow industry professionals, and gain an internship, service learning, and work experience with the local community.

What is your single best piece of advice to new Members so they can take full advantage of their membership?

Don’t be shy! Get involved, network, attend events, join a committee or group, and meet and learn about new people because you discover new connections and opportunities.

What do you like about being in the business community in Loudoun County?

Being a high school educator, I want to provide students with as many opportunities to explore, own their choices, and gear up for life beyond the school walls. The Loudoun County business community offers endless possibilities for students to see themselves living and working here as young professionals.
