3 Steps to Oppose Dulles Greenway Toll Increase Request

Post written by Grafton deButts, VP of Membership & Government Affairs

In July, we briefed our Board members, Public Policy committee and Chamber members on the next and final action that you can take to influence the SCC’s decision to either allow or deny the application by TRIP II to increase tolls on the Dulles Greenway. The community successfully spoke out during the live SCC hearing on June 30th, and now has until August 24th to submit written comments.

It is critical that the SCC hears from business leaders on the impact of the high tolls on their business and their workforce.  It would be a tremendous show of unity and force for our entire membership to join together in this final push.  A victory here would help set up future legislation towards aiding Virginia in regulating and managing this critical piece of Loudoun’s transportation infrastructure.

Please take a moment and follow these 3 Easy Steps:

Step 1)  Prepare a Written Comment. Please click here to use the template and talking points document as your guide.  (Please don’t copy and paste the template letter in its entirety.  Comments that all look the same won’t carry the same weight as unique messages.)

Step 2)  Click Here and submit your comment before August 24th.

Step 3)  Email Me and let me know you’ve submitted. Feel free to share your comment with me as well, I’d love to see it. (gdebutts@loudounchamber.org)

Thank you for joining us doing this critical moment for Loudoun County.  We are hopeful for the generational impact this ruling will have on our community.
