Boulder Crest Foundation's Wicked Warrior Ruck

Bluemont Station Brewery & Winery
Saturday, October 26th 11:00am - 3:00pm

Boulder Crest Foundation has partnered with QCR22 (Queen City Rucking for 22) to host Wicked Warrior Ruck on October 26th, 2024. The event will begin and end at Bluemont Station Brewery & Winery. Participants will ruck down Snickersville Turnpike to Boulder Crest Foundation and back. The total distance for this event is approximately 4 miles.

Registration:  https://support.bouldercrest.org/2024-wicked-warrior-ruck

The ruck will have a staggered start with two levels of the event. The first starting time will be at 12:00PM for our more advanced Ruckers called “Wicked Warrior”. These ruckers will immerse themselves into the ruck experience, carrying weight at least 10 or 20 pounds through a 4 mile route that includes one wicked uphill portion with moderate elevation gain (***see weight requirements***). The Wicked Warrior Ruckers will be given a challenge coin for completing their mission

***Weight Standard: If you are under 150lbs, carry 10lbs of static weight and if you are over 150lbs, carry 20lbs of static weight. ***STATIC WEIGHT does not include water, snacks, iFAKs, etc. STATIC WEIGHT should be ruck plates, flat gym plates, old phone books, text books, etc. PLEASE AVOID dumbbells or sand bags as they can settle in the bottom of your Rucks causing injury.

The second starting time will be at 12:30PM for our beginner Ruckers called “Creepy Crawl”. Weight is not required for Creepy Crawl ruckers.. These Ruckers will ruck an abbreviated (3 mile) course around the Boulder Crest Virginia campus, breezing past the uphill portion and receiving a broad overview of Boulder Crest. The Creepy Crawl Ruckers will be given a patch for completing the event.

EARLY BIRD Registration is $35 for either the “Wicked Warrior” or “Creepy Crawl”. With registration every rucker will receive a t-shirt and a drink token for Bluemont Station Brewery & Winery.

**Early bird registration ends October 19th. Price increases to $45 Oct 20 -26.

HALLOWEEN COSTUMES WELCOMED AND ENCOURAGED! Prizes will be awarded for best costumes of the day.

FAMILY FRIENDLY! Family members not participating in the ruck are invited to hang out with BCF at Bluemont Station.

Check-in at the starting location, Bluemont Station Brewery and Winery, will start at 11:00AM.
