Standing Room Only At A Chamber Non-Profit Committee Meeting? No Way!

Yes it is true.  I wonder why?  Was it because of our wonderful Co-Chairs, Amy Owen with the Community Foundation of Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties and Jamie Pearson from Middleburg Bank?  Or, was it because we had an amazing speaker in Cyndi Urbano with Alpha Graphics who brought her award winning marketing expertise to speak with us about the importance of personalization in donor retention?

While the three of them are wonderful and what they do is very important to our committee, I choose to believe it is because we, as non-profits, understand how collaboration makes not only us, but Loudoun County stronger.  We are all businesses who provide community impact everyday……everyday.  Think about that.  Strategic collaborative partnerships between non-profits will expand programs, help to gain in-house expertise, and increase efficiency in the delivery of services.

“The non-profit community is not only a thriving component of Loudoun’s economy, employing hundreds of our neighbors and generating a significant amount of business opportunities and tax dollars, it is providing essential value to our community’s quality of life. I am also proud to say that our non-profits are making great contributions to the success of the Loudoun County Chamber and we are proud that so many of these outstanding organizations have chosen to be a part of our Chamber.” Tony Howard

Tony Howard and the Loudoun Chamber are providing this avenue for us to make our organizations stronger, to become better positioned to withstand fluctuations in funding, to prove to funders that we are proactive about maintaining efficiency, and that the alliances we develop will secure a sustainable future not only for us but for all of those that we serve, everyday.
