Thank you for you interest and for your support, Loudoun Chamber!
I fly out tomorrow to Canada and am super excited. (I should probably stop working and pack at some point.)
There has been a lot of heavy lifting and logistical wizardry up to this point and I’d be a remiss not to thank Sharon Wright and her team at Loudoun Clear Marketing for their huge efforts resulting in this years success. Sharon’s continued support has transformed what would have been a great ride, into a a top-notch adventure in less than two weeks upon being brought onboard. As well, I’d like to thank Doug Corbett and the Ashburn Rotary Club for their financial support of this years ride and of the foundation.
Q. What is the Road Warrior Foundation?
The Road Warrior Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) non profit who’s mission is providing wounded, ill, and injured U.S. veterans memorable adventures that serve as one of the critical steps in their rehabilitative journey.
Q. How did you get connected with this non-profit?
I earned my MBA at Virginia Tech with one of the co-founders, Steve Berger.
Steve Berger and Craig Anders, Air Force Academy graduates, co-founded the Road Warrior Foundation in 2013.
Steve and Craig identified a gap in the services and support provided to wounded soldiers, sailors and airmen. The flawed school of thought is that there are more veterans in need than there are resources to support them. They didn’t feel it should be that simple and vowed to do something about it. Vowed to do something spectacular for the men and women who had put it all on the line for each of us.
I wanted to be a part of that mission.
Q. What are you most excited about with this Foundation?
I’m excited to create some outstanding long term memories for some of our nations finest men and women.
Q. How can people help you out in this journey?
There are so many ways people can help support this years ride. The main request is to help us raise awareness of the foundation through the sharing of information.
