The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia’s annual Gala has been described as a “homecoming” – an elegant, uplifting event that brings together more than 600 business, community and philanthropic leaders to raise funds to support its work to respond to need and seed innovation in the region.
At this event, Major General Carl H. McNair, Jr. (Retired), will receive the Community Leadership Award for outstanding service and commitment to Northern Virginia, the longest standing award of its kind in this region. General McNair served in the US Army for more than 32 years followed by a career in the private sector of similar length while remaining active in community affairs throughout the region – serving on multiple boards and championing local nonprofit organizations that support military families and veterans. The US Military Academy named him a Distinguished Graduate of West Point in 2011, an honor accorded fewer than 100 graduates to that date, and in 2015, he was selected as the 89th “Living Legend of Aviation.”
The event will be on Friday, October 4, 2019 at the McLean Hilton in Tysons Corner, Virginia from 6:30 – 10:30 pm.

Annual Meeting & Community Leadership Awards
The Loudoun Chamber celebrated it’s Annual Meeting & Community Leadership Awards on March 3, 2022. We honored top business and community leaders and celebrated the success of the Chamber’s 2021 Board of Directors Chair, Stacey Metcalfe, Morven Park, and welcome in our 2022 Board.
The 2022 Community Leadership Award winners in each category will have the opportunity to select one nonprofit organization to receive a $1,000 grant, thanks to the generosity of the Community Foundation of Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties.
The 40th Annual Chamber Classic has been Loudoun County’s premier business golf tournament for nearly four decades. Held at The Club at Creighton Farms, the Chamber Classic offers our sponsors tremendous marketing exposure, and an incomparable day of golf on this Jack Nicklaus designed course. If your company’s target market includes senior level executives and business owners who have a passion for the game of golf, we invite you to consider an Annual Chamber Classic sponsorship.
