Have you heard of TED talks? Now is your chance to get the full TEDx experience… for free and from the comfort of your couch! TEDxYouth@BriarWoodsHS is a virtual TEDx event that will be held at 10AM ET this October 3rd that features 8 incredible speakers delivering 8 brand-new talks.
Most high-quality TEDx events are further away and charge a high entry fee, but you can watch TEDxYouth@BriarWoodsHS online and at home for free. You can sign up to be reminded here.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with TEDx events, they are similar to TED events (which feature TED talks), except that this event is organized by the Briar Woods community and features talks from Briar Woods students and faculty.
TEDxYouth@BriarWoodsHS will include some incredible featured speakers, including:
- Lionel Aingimea, President of the Republic of Nauru
- Dennis Blake, Jamaican track & field star and Olympic Medalist
- Marshall Brain, Founder of HowStuffWorks and TV personality
- Andrew Morgan, NASA Astronaut
- Kristina Podnar, Digital Policy Expert and Author
Plus, Wayde Byard will even make an appearance!
