Tech Talk with Janelia Research Campus' Head of Innovation Management

Loudoun Tech Startups is the local group for the emerging and growing Loudoun Tech community to relax, network and learn together. Come out monthly to meet your tech-minded peers, discuss what you’re working on and maybe even find your next opportunity. Loudoun Tech Startups has served the needs of the community since 2012.

Tonight Michael Perham, Head of Innovation Management,Janelia Research Campus at Howard Hughes Medical Institute, will share the work and opportunities developing at Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Perham’s role is to lead innovation management and technology transfer in service of the Open Science initiatives. The goal at Janelia is wide dissemination of new technologies through open sharing and commercialization, which involves spectrum of methods, from supporting open source licensing to strong IP protection.

This group is sponsored through a partnership between Loudoun County Department of Economic Development and The Mason Enterprise Center-Leesburg.
