The National Conference Center will be the title sponsor of Loudoun Men Are Cooking 2018: Presents a Taste of Loudoun, a charity fundraiser, tasting event and chef competition between amateur and professional chefs.
Local community service organizations Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Psi Rho Omega
Chapter and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, Sigma Mu Mu Chapter, in partnership with the title
sponsor, The National Conference Center, will host the event. Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit
the Pearls of Loudoun Endowment, an affiliate of the Educational Advancement Foundation, a 501(c)3
nonprofit that provides educational support to the diverse population of students in Virginia.
Since its inception in 2014, this event has awarded more than $68,000 to 60 college bound students in
Loudoun County.
Professional and amateur chefs will prepare gourmet fare to delight the palates of over 500 guests.
At the event, guests will have the opportunity to vote for which dish ranks supreme by awarding “Best
Professional Chef” and “Best Amateur Chef”. Judges will also vote on additional categories in the
amateur chef competition. After sampling bold appetizers, creative sides, enticing entrees, and decadent
desserts, we’ll invite guests to enjoy the live performance of DC’s favorite, Just’s Friends Band and Show.
