About the Presenters

Amy Owen, President and CEO of the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties, has more than 25 years of experience in teaching and nonprofit management. For more than 10 years, she managed and directed fundraising programs for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy based in Harpers Ferry, WV. She became executive director of the Eastern West Virginia Community Foundation from 2001-2012. Amy has served as President and CEO of the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties since 2012.

Cris Wineinger, President of Wineinger & Associates, has more than 25 years’ experience in all aspects of fund raising and nonprofit management in Bermuda and the United States. Mrs. Wineinger’s clients include churches, private schools, environmental agencies, cultural organizations, social service providers and hospitals. Her consulting services encompass capital campaign management, annual fund campaigns, and strategic planning for nonprofits. In the last 25 years, Mrs. Wineinger has provided guidance to fundraising campaigns totaling more than $150 million.

Nicole Acosta, Vice President of Grants and Nonprofit Programs of the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties, has 18 years of experience in Loudoun’s nonprofit and human services sector, including experience as a nonprofit executive director and a board member. In her role at the Community Foundation, she administers the foundation’s grant making and oversees its nonprofit capacity building programming, including Nonprofit Academy, Social Impact Institute, Racial Equity Framework, Give Choose, and more.

Annual Meeting & Community Leadership Awards

The Loudoun Chamber will celebrate its 55th Annual Meeting & Community Leadership Awards on Friday, January 20, 2023 at The National Conference Center. We will honor top community leaders as well as celebrate the success of the 2022 Board of Directors Chair, Shawn Mitchell, owner of Modern Mechanical. We will also welcome in our 2023 Board and the new Chair Carol Barbe, owner of Backflow Technology.

The 2023 Community Leadership Award winners in each category will have the opportunity to select one nonprofit organization to receive a $1,000 grant, thanks to the generosity of the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties. *Cocktail attire, please
