How the Tech You Use Impacts Biz Strategy-Leveraging Microservices & Containers

Did you know that the software you are building on may impact your strategy for growth? You may even be spending more than you need to while holding your company back.

Navin Alexander with Compustrategies Inc. is joining us this month to introduce you to Microservice Architecture. Microservice architecture has patterns like classic architecture but provides very small services that can be separated. This separates critical responsibilities and allows work to be done independently. If you plan on rapidly adding users to your platform than microservice may be the way to build.

Classic software architecture has layers that can be tightly bundled- this is great to start, but problematic when you begin adding users and scaling your tech platform. Imagine trying to make changes in the middle of a brick wall in order to add height- not so easy.

This site provides a good primer on the topic: thehttps://blog.newrelic.com/technology/microservices-what-they-are-why-to-use-them/

Discussions at this monthly meeting focus on what you’re working on, what’s next for your tech-minded peers, and the opportunity to learn from a trending speaker. It may even be the place to find your next breakthrough partner or opportunity.

This group is sponsored through a partnership between Loudoun County Department of Economic Development and the Mason Enterprise Center-Leesburg.
