JOIN US IN THE LOUDOUN GREEN BUSINESS CHALLENGE!

The Loudoun County government and Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce have joined forces to present the Loudoun Green Business Challenge.  The Loudoun Green Business Challenge is a new annual initiative that

  • Encourages Loudoun businesses to adopt more environmentally sound business practices, and
  • Recognizes the achievements of businesses that are already conserving energy and reducing their environmental impact.

Taking part in the Challenge offers you the potential to save money and receive third-party confirmation of your business’s greenness.

What is the Green Business Challenge?

The Green Business Challenge identifies over 40 different actions businesses can take to become more energy efficient and implement more environmentally sound business practices.  Businesses and non-profit organizations receive points in the Challenge based on how many of the actions they take (or have already taken). Businesses will be recognized as “Certified”, “Silver”, “Gold” or “Platinum” based on the number of points they accumulate.  The first annual, 2009-2010 Challenge closes on September 30th 2010 -- there is still time to enter.
