NonProfit Initiative

NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

The NonProfit Initiative was created to support the nonprofit members of the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce with an emphasis on helping nonprofits communicate their mission, value, and engagement opportunities to Loudoun County's business community through a variety of stellar networking and education opportunities.

The initiative continues to strive towards providing:

• Planned networking sessions designed to offer connections between businesses and non-profits.
• Providing exceptional educational programming designed to help nonprofit organizations meet their organizational goals and deliver on their mission.
• Provide interactive case studies on businesses who have win-win partnerships with nonprofits and how they designed those partnerships.
  
• Work with other county-wide organizations that assist nonprofits to communicate programming opportunities and joint initiatives, such as Volunteer Loudoun, Leadership Loudoun, Piedmont Community Foundation, Northern Virginia Community Foundation.
  
• Assist in the creation of a Non Profit Economic Impact Study by partnering with George Washington University and others to create a study that demonstrates the economic impact of the strong non profit sector in Loudoun County.
  
• Update the annual Community Action Survey of Chamber members in which we request feedback on motivations for community partnering.
  
• Advocate the needs of Loudoun County nonprofits before local, state and federal entities.
• Coordinate activities jointly between the Loudoun Chamber’s Non-profit Initiative and Public Policy Committees, consistent with the Chamber’s standing Public Policy Agenda endorsed by the Board of Directors.
  
• Educate member non-profits on how to maximize their Chamber membership benefits.
