Gifting Time Together, Locally this Season!

By: Samantha Tunador, Senior Director Stella & Dot Stylist

With the rush of the season, knowing that the days between Thanksgiving and the holiday you celebrate are going to seem shorter than ever, we want to help you give a gift of time together.

Paint with Winos

Gather your girlfriends and plan a Paint with Wine experience with Chamber Member, Jill Perla of Perla Art. Paint wine glasses or canvases in the comfort of your home or at one of your favorite breweries or wineries. Jill can help you pick a location, set it up and will bring the materials and help you paint something that makes you happy. Painting is always better with friends and wine! Check out her work and current events on her fan page.

Finch Sewing Studio

Finch Sewing Studio, located in downtown Leesburg in an adorable studio owned by Chamber Member, Nicole Morgenthau. Try a sewing or knitting class with your sister or mother/daughter. Last year, my daughter’s favorite gift in her stocking was a Pouf Class (big round floor pillow) in January. I loved seeing chamber member, Kristine Jacobson walking out of class with her daughters, all with a pouf on their head.

Check out the class schedule and maybe we’ll see each other at one of her Friday night Sewcials. Hope to see one of your project photos on Pinterest inspiring others to be creative!

In the Spirit of the Season – Catoctin Creek Distillery

Take a little time out with your significant other and head over to dtown Purcellville and pop into Catoctin Creek Distillery for a tasting, maybe a tour and a little shopping together. The bottles make great gifts for your brother in law or the neighbor that is hosting the New Year’s party. Check out their fan page for details on the fun going on this season.

Ride on Over!

The new Salamander Resort offers something for everyone. For the gift of adventure, take the family zip lining or on a trail ride. Check out their fan page to find more including cooking classes, spa experiences and overnight stays.

When you visit these places, in person or on their social media, make sure to tell them your Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce sent you for a good time! We hope your holiday season brings you together with all of the people you adore.

Happy Holidays!
