Western Dulles Access Road Alignment

Public Input Meeting Set for June 2, 2014

By: Brian Fauls, Government Affairs Manager

A sharply divided Board of Supervisors has scheduled a public input session on the proposed western Dulles Access Road.  Officially termed the Dulles Air Cargo, Passenger, and Metro Access Highway by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), the purpose of this project is to enhance the movement of people, passenger services and air cargo traffic to and from Washington Dulles International Airport as well as the planned Metrorail Silver Line stations in Loudoun County.  Constructing a western access road and entrance to Dulles Airport has been a priority for the Loudoun business community for many years and something the Chamber has fought to make a reality.  If you support one of VDOT’s four proposed routesor simply want to reiterate the critical need to build this road, come out to Briar Woods High School, 22525 Belmont Ridge Road, Ashburn, on June 2nd at 7 pm to view a VDOT presentation on the project and make your opinion known.
