Loudoun County Chamber’s BizVotes Campaign Will Focus the 2009 Elections on Business Issues

2009 BizVotes Election Education Campaign will highlight state candidates’ positions on Loudoun County Chamber’s pro-business, pro-quality of life agenda

Leesburg, VA—The Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce today launched its 2009 “BizVotes Election Education Campaign,” a multi-media effort to educate Loudoun’s voters on where the candidates for state offices stand on the Chamber’s pro-business policy agenda.

Now in its fourth election cycle, the Loudoun Chamber’s “BizVotes Campaign” will feature an intensive communications program to keep business leaders, and the candidates for state offices representing Loudoun, informed on the business issues that will decide the 2009 elections.

The BizVotes Campaign will include a candidates’ questionnaire focused on Loudoun’s top business issues, regular election-related e-mail messages, media promotion, get-out-the-vote efforts, a state candidates’ forum, website, social media component and more.

“This year, Virginia voters will elect a new Governor and decide who represents our community in the House of Delegates for the next two years. The outcome of these elections will have a major impact on Loudoun’s future economic prosperity and quality of life. The Loudoun County Chamber intends to make certain the business community’s economic policy agenda is a central theme in determining the outcome of these elections,” said Chamber President Tony Howard.

Chamber members and the candidates will receive BizVotes communications, including regular updates on the campaigns and the candidates’ responses to the questionnaire. The media may subscribe to BizVotes alerts by contacting Tony Howard at thoward@loudounchamber.org.

The 2009 BizVotes Election Education Campaign is made possible through the support of our sponsoring companies: HCA Virginia, Inova Loudoun Hospital, the National Conference Center, and Fortessa.
